In order to support procurement sector Airbus Commercial is looking for a

**Supply Chain and Quality Specialist (M/F/d)**:
As SCQMs in Procurement Operations, we work on three main activities: Supply Management (to ensure operational on-time, on-quality and on-cost delivery performance of our suppliers), Control Supplier (to ensure all flyable products continuously meet airworthiness, safety and other industrial requirements) and Supplier Development (to ensure anticipation of complex issues, mitigation of risks and development of supplier capabilities).

**Your location**:
The largest production site for civil aircraft can be found in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe means that you will travel to work by ship. The vibrant port of Hamburg is a green and cosmopolitan city brimming with culture.

**Your tasks and responsibilities**
- Manage supply chain & quality aspects of the contract, being responsible for On Time, On Quality (and on Cost when applicable) performance. Act as an escalation for the others PO functions in case of repetitive issues. (Work out short term recovery plans)
- Responsible to ensure industrial qualification maturity before serial phase
- Assess suppliers during the tendering phase and contribute to the selection decision.
- Assess the Supplier capacity, capability & performance and contribute to the Supplier development
- Initiate and manage supplier performance improvement projects, set long term development targets together with the suppliers and in coordination with the Supplier Development Team.
- Present the situation of the supplier on operational performance (KPIs, assessments..) during MFT/MDT meetings.
- Maintain a close communication and coordination with the operational teams at internal customer sites, to ensure the contribution of all relevant functions to the delivery of procured goods or services.
- Act as focal point towards the suppliers for operational activities and contract management, and as ambassador of the supplier toward internal functions.

**Desired skills and qualifications**
- Degree in Engineering/Industrial Engineering/Procurement/Supply Chain or similar and several years of professional experience in the frame of the main task/responsibilities (e.g. monitoring and auditing of Suppliers).
- Basic knowledge of Supply Chain Management and Quality Management necessary. Industrialization knowledge (APQP) would be a plus.
- You are a team player with excellent communication skills, assertive and customer-oriented.
- Furthermore, you have a problem solving oriented and pragmatic way of working.
- A negotiation level of English is required for this position.
