**About the company**:

- Our client is a leading company in the debt management sector, a technology-based financial investor and an expert in handling open claims. Their services range from collections to the acquisition of secured and unsecured receivables. As part of a globally operating and highly respected corporate group, we are seeking a Division Head for Division Management. This pivotal role acts as the central interface to the Western European subsidiaries for all matters relating to finance, accounting, financial statements, budgeting, investment proposals & decisions, structuring, and digitization. As a Direct of the Management Board at the headquarters, you will be significantly involved in strategic decisions.**Your responsibilities**:

- You will report directly to the Managing Director of the Group Holding, who is responsible for the Western European region.
- You will manage a team of professionals and work in a close international cooperation with your colleagues from abroad.
- You are accountable for the strategic direction, planning, and development of the Western Europe division, including creating and implementing business plans for the subsidiaries.
- You oversee international valuation projects for the acquisition of distressed unsecured and secured loan portfolios, real estate, and companies (M&A).
- You will serve on the boards of Western European subsidiary companies to ensure business objectives are met and policies and procedures are adhered to.
- You support companies in the preparation of reporting, budgeting and annual financial statements in accordance with Local GAAP and IFRS.
- You will drive digitalization in Western European countries in alignment with the Group's digitalization strategy.
- You will lead and develop a team of professionals at the headquarters. Furthermore, you will conduct regular performance reviews and staff development.
- You build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to leverage synergies and identify business opportunities.

**Your profile**:

- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field from a reputable institution. Preferably a Master’s degree or MBA in Finance, Economics, or comparable will be advantageous.
- In-depth professional experience in a leadership position.
- Strong financial expertise, particularly experience with annual financial statements per Local GAAP and IFRS as well as interest in new technologies and digitization topics.
- Recognized qualifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or similar would be an added advantage, highlighting expertise in finance and investment.
- Given the rapidly changing nature of the financial world, evidence of ongoing professional development through courses, seminars, or workshops is desirable.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory. Fluency in German would be a great advantage but is no must.
- Fluency in other Western European languages such as French, given the regional focus, would be an advantage as well.
