Supervisory Police Officer

**Duties**:
- Responsible for the overall operations of the law enforcement patrols and related work within the assigned area of the installation.
- Serves as supervisor of military, civilians and local national.
- Interprets existing Department of Army (DA), US Army Europe (USAREUR), US Army Garrison and Installation Management Command (IMCOM) regulations, policies and procedures pertaining to law enforcement.
- The Desk Sergeant is the initial point of contact for all persons, activities, visitors and complainants either in person or telephonically regarding any activity that require police actions.
- The Desk Sergeant is solely responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the Military Issue and Commercial Intrusion Detections Systems located on the Desk.

**Conditions of Employment**:
- One year trial/probationary period may be required. This position requires a one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties unless previously completed.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- Must wear the DACP/SG uniform, and maintain a high state of appearance and hygiene; must be able to wear chemical protection equipment in accordance with AR 50-6.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess, or obtain and maintain, a valid regular or official U.S. Passport.
- You must successful complete a training and graduate from a USAMPS accredited academy (or receive a USAMPS waiver IAW AR 190-56).
- This position requires you to be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance of access for the duration of employment which includes a background investigation and credit check.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position requires regular contact with children under the age 18 and a favorable determination of suitability to do so and periodic re-verification check of multiple agency records.
- In accordance with AR 690-11, this position has been designated as "Emergency-Essential." Emergency-Essential designation takes precedence over any transportation agreement or military recall status. You must be exempt from military recall status.
- In the event of a crisis situation or wartime, you must continue to perform the duties of the position to ensure the success of combat operations or to support combat essential systems subsequent to mobilization/evacuation order.
- This position is identified as Mission Essential which may require you to work or remain at work during an emergency situation or when inclement weather has curtailed operations (e.g., threat to the facility, natural disaster, delayed reporting).
- This position has a requirement to lift up to 55 lbs. in the regular performance of duties. This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time. Must agree in writing to comply with permanent change of station (PCS) movements to meet mission requirements.
- This position requires certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation with Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) training.
- Must pass initial and annual Physical Agility Test (PAT) comprised of 1.5 miles (2.41 km) run in17:30 minutes, execute 19 push-ups in 2 minutes.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a USAREUR Driver's license and government driver's license to operate non-tactical vehicle/transportation motor pool (NTV/TMP) and must be insurable in order to travel to other duty locations.
- This position requires that you must complete semi-annual weapons qualification as part of the certification.
