Doctoral (PhD) Position (f/m/d)

as soon as possible.

The position is dedicated to the DFG (German Science Foundation) project „Model-following control for the trajectory-tracking control of nonlinear systems“ and allows to pursue the qualification for a doctoral degree.

The Control Engineering Group at TU Ilmenau is dedicated to the analysis and development of control methods for nonlinear and variable structure systems. We are an interdisciplinary, experienced and highly motivated team. The group is well-embedded within the international research communities and offers you the opportunity to publish your research results at renowned conferences and international journals.

Your tasks

**The position includes the following responsibilities**:

- Methodical research on the trajectory tracking control for nonlinear systems
- Development of methods for the control design for nonlinear model following control
- Analysis of robustness and stability properties as well as the internal dynamics of the resulting control system

**Profile**:
**For being part of the selection process is needed**:

- scientific Uuniversity degree (M.Sc or equivalent) or timely completion of the degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Cybernetics or comparable with relevant focus on Control Systems
- Profound knowledge of analysis and synthesis of nonlinear control systems

**Following competences are desirable**:

- Good knowledge of the English language (written and spoken)
- Very good communication skills, commitment, enthusiasm, independent working style as well as initiative and team spirit

Due to funding requirements the position should be filled by August 14th, 2023
