RESEARCH ASSOCIATE (M/F/d) / PostDoc/ WISSENSCHAFTLICHER MITARBEITER (m/w/d)

YOUR TASKS
- Isolation and cultivation of so far non-cultivable microorganisms
- Bioinformatic analysis of DNA and RNA from environmental samples
- Identification of cell surface proteins using bioinformatics tools
- In silico design of suitable antibodies
- Development of workflows and bioinformatic pipelines for (semi-)automated analysis of further samples

YOUR PROFILE
- University degree (M.Sc or PhD), especially in the field(s) of biology/ microbiology/ bioinformatics/ bioengineering/ biochemistry
- Experience in bioinformatic analysis of DNA and RNA samples as well as protein localization and folding
- Good knowledge of common microbiological and molecular biological working techniques (cultivation of microorganisms, sterile work, biological assays, DNA isolation, PCR)
- Ability to work independently on complex problems
- Scientific writing skills and knowledge in the evaluation and interpretation of complex data sets
