**Duties**:
- As the initial point of contact, receives, screens, and acts on all calls and complaints, including emergency calls and relays messages and instructions to patrol officers, fire and EMS personnel.
- Conducts law enforcement related training, structured one-on-one training and mentoring for new employees.
- Reviews all police reports, and supporting documentation, submitted by the Patrol Supervisor for correctness, completeness, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintains knowledge of facilities opening, closing, and duress procedures for all locations.
- Conducts Guard mount with the force to ensure the oncoming shift is aware of ongoing law enforcement matters.
- Interpret existing Department of Army, Federal, Host Nation laws and ordinances, rules and/or regulations as they pertain to law enforcement and access control.
- Solely responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the Military Issue and Commercial Intrusion Detections Systems located on the Desk.

- This position is considered Emergency and Mission Essential.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess, or obtain and maintain, a valid official and tourist U.S. Passport and a valid, state-issued and USAREUR Driver's License.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- Applicants must comply with the Exceptional Family Member Program requirements as outlined in the DoD Instruction 1315.19.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Incumbent must wear prescribed uniform. Incumbent may be required to wear protective/chemical mask and other protective clothing and equipment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Incumbent must complete and pass the Department of Army Police Academy course within 6 months of entrance on duty or have a current Police Officer certification.
- As a condition of employment, the incumbent must comply with all requirements of the current Army Regulation (AR) 190-56 and of the Individual Reliability Program (IRP) as set forth therein.
- Incumbent works both inside and outside with possible exposure to inclement weather.
- Shift work is required; position may require shift rotation to include nights, weekend and holidays, and rotation of days off; may have the requirement to be on call on a 24 hour basis. Overtime may be required as directed.
- Incumbent will be required to successfully complete an appropriate medical examination prior to employment and annually thereafter. Must not have any medical condition that precludes the wearing of a chemical protective mask and over garments.
- IAW AR 190-56 incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019 and to pass an initial drug test and will then receive periodic random drug testing IAW AR 600-85.
- Incumbent will be required to maintain the degree of physical fitness necessary to perform the duties as described in the job description. Incumbent must pass an initial Physical Agility Test (PAT) and annually thereafter.
- Incumbent must be proficient in the use of assigned weapons and will be required to perform semi-annual weapons training/qualifications.
- NOTE: This position is covered by the l996 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968. Persons convicted of a misdemeanor or felony crime of domestic violence are not eligible for the position.
- Incumbent must obtain a medical clearance before permission is granted to take the physical agility test.

**Specialized Experience**:One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Evaluating crime prevention programs to recommend changes to reduce opportunities for theft, assault, illegal entry, or other kinds of violations; 2) Reporting information to emergency services concerning serious situation to dispatch support personnel based on specific incidents; 3) Perform law enforcement duties based upon knowledge of laws, statutes, and procedures to maintain order and protect life and property.
I**f you are currently stationed in the overseas area as a civilian, all of your overseas time may be credited toward your current overseas tour and date, which may require an overseas tour extension (OTEX). Your overseas time served will not reset upon accepting this assignment.**
**If you have returned from OCONUS within the past two (2) years or less, your time previously served in the OCONUS area as a civilian may be credited to your five (5) year overseas rotation. Depending upon total prior tour length, without the required reset time you could be ineligible for selection.**
**MILITARY SPOUSE & FAMILY MEMBER PREFERENCE**:To use your preference eligibility, you must physically be at the new duty station identified on the PCS orders.
