**A Snapshot of Your Day**
As a tactical buyer at Siemens Energy Electrolyzer Manufacturing GmbH, you take care of clarifications with suppliers as well as with internal colleagues for the inquiry, procurement and technical specification of the required components and services. Once all requirements are clear, you will negotiate the best possible price with suppliers and prepare an award decision for management approval. Before or during the award decision, you negotiate the project contract or clarify the commercial conditions with the involvement of colleagues from the legal department. Once the contract has been awarded to the best supplier, you will oversee the performance of the service based on the contractual agreements. Your work is an important contribution to building a CO2-reduced world.
**How You’ll Make an Impact**
- Being responsible for tactical procurement activities in customer projects along the complete support process "Tactical Procurement", in particular for the inquiry, tendering, commercial clarification and negotiation of components and trades (package units) in the field of electrical systems (transformers, rectifiers, switchgear, busbars, I&C system, etc.)
- Carrying out tenders and offer clarifications
- Negotiating with national and international suppliers on technical and commercial terms (e.g. quantities, prices, deadlines, technical characteristics) and prepare project contracts ready for signature which take place in German or English
- Preparing award decisions and execute them accordingly, in close coordination with your interface partners
**What You Bring**
- You have completed a commercial university degree - or have many years of purchasing experience as a Senior Purchasing Manager in the area of Commodity Management, Project Procurement Management and/or international project management
- You have intercultural experience, e.g. through a stay abroad in an English-speaking country or through intensive international project experience
- Communication skills as well as the ability to work in a team, negotiation skills and a willingness to compromise characterize you
- You are able to deal with conflicts and are solution-oriented
- You are business fluent in German and English
