**Position Overview**
We are looking for a Critical Facilities Technician who knows what best-in-class service looks like and can make that a reality. This role is an important member of our facilities team where we manage some of the most efficient and cost-effective data center facilities in the industry.
**Duties**
- Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in facility systems. Areas include: Electrical, mechanical, building monitoring, and control
- Use of the Building Management System (BMS) and regular on-site checks
- Collaborate with contractors in planning and implementing preventive maintenance measures. Ensure maintenance measures at the highest quality level
- Participation in crisis management plans and their testing
- Monitoring infrastructure capacities and anticipatory planning of expansions
- Management of suppliers and services, and maintenance of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Daily monitoring of maintenance service providers and ensuring cleanliness standards
- Implementation of improvement plans and small projects
**Job Requirements**
- Technical education (advanced technician or engineer level) in one of the following areas: Electricity (generators, UPS, low voltage distribution), climate, and cooling.
- Knowledge in fire protection and physical security (access control, video, and intrusion detection systems) or central building management systems is advantageous.
- Experience in operating data centers or similar environments
- Versatile technical knowledge, especially in the areas of operation, maintenance, and inspection of critical systems
- Communicative and proactive personality with attention to detail and solution orientation
- Good writing skills and experience with software such as BMS, CMMS, and MS Project
- Access to a reliable means of transportation and less than 5% travel activity, occasionally for training purposes
- Successful completion of a reliability check
- English and German at least at level B2
**Physical Activities and Requirements**
- Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, etc.
- Lifting and horizontal movement of objects
- Manoeuvring and working under and around raised floors at different heights
