As the Head of Accounting and financial reporting, you will be a key member of the executive leadership team, reporting directly to the CFO. You will be responsible for leading the financial operations of the company. This role requires you to have a good understanding of Direct and indirect Tax, VAT, IFRS, consolidation & compliance with local and international financial regulations

Location: Germany

This role has a high degree of built-in decision-making and accountability.

You’ll get a chance to shape the company’s direction, paving the way for the largest AI-powered Drug Assets Manager. We are looking for team players who “dare to care”

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Handling overall Accounting function, including review of book of accounts, month-end closure procedures and balance sheet preparation.
- Handle responsibility for P&L and VAT Filing
- Lead Audit procedures and ensure successful audit for the group
- Manage consolidation and work with an international team
- Allocate cost to business divisions and present Cost accounting reports to stakeholders
- Oversee tax-related matters, including preparation and filing of tax returns, and optimize tax strategies to minimize liabilities.
- Manage relationships and communication with an internal team
- Conduct financial analysis, provide meaningful insights into financial performance, and support key stakeholders with data-driven decision-making.
- Manage the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with local and international accounting standards.

**Your profile**:

- Bachelor's / Master's Degree preferably in finance, accounting, or a related field
- 9+ years of progressive experience in planning, managing, and leading teams.
- Proven experience in a similar executive-level financial role
- Proven experience in leading and managing a finance and accounting team.
- Excellent understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements in Germany.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, compliance, and reporting like German GAAP, IFRS etc.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- Experienced with Microsoft Excel and financial software and ERPs like Microsoft Dynamics etc.
- English is mandatory, German would be a plus.
