- ** Your Role **:In this role you are responsible for supporting the Charter Desk to provide effective and efficient chartering and shipping services to the internal network and external direct clientele. Obtaining and optimizing freight requirements and shipping solutions by means of ensuring and providing highly qualified, highly reliable, highly cost-efficient, and diligently expedited output.
- ** Your Responsibilities**:

- Vetting of vendors and adherence to KN guidelines and processes;
- Booking note review and authorization in overseeing “Regional Charter Desk” (RCD) function for other Kuehne+Nagel offices on a worldwide basis - “BOD approval function”
- Contract Management including post-fixture;
- Provide a network to obtain best possible solutions, technical and commercial, for spot inquiries, mid/long term projects and provide RFQ support;
- Close cooperation with Transport Engineering and Tender Management department;
- Service purchase and contract negotiations for part and full charter shipments on a worldwide basis;
- Act as an internal ship broker as well as work directly in the break bulk/heavylift/bulk market for defined spot clients;
- Establish and manage relationships with ship owners, brokers and operators;
- Carrier/Portfolio Management (Strategy / KPIs), dominantly on local European carriers, both existing and prospects.

**Your Skills and Experiences**:

- Minimum 3 years experience in the breakbulk/heavylift/bulk market;
- Experience in attending loading and discharging operations in the field around the world;
- Established network and in-depth knowledge of the breakbulk/heavylift/bulk market, focused on Operations/Post-Fixing;
- Familiar with loading/lashing/securing procedures as well as laytime calculations;
- Track record of managing vessel charter bookings in a leading role, focused on Chartering/Operations/Post-Fixing;
- Familiar with BIMCO contracts, such as Conline, GenCon, Heavyliftvoy, Heavycon, Supplytime, etc;
- Proficiency in English is required; Knowledge of German is a plus;
