**JOB SUMMARY**
- Financing and Securities Services is one of our core businesses and we are one of the dominant players in the highly competitive and changing custody environment. Our proprietary securities services network today extends across 38 markets in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
- The jobholder will be part of the team developing and executing the strategy for selling Financing and Securities Services (FSS) solutions to the Continental European client base. To fully contribute to global initiatives in FSS, working collaboratively with key stakeholders locally and in footprint (e.g., Financial Markets, Transaction Banking, Client Coverage and Operations).
- The jobholder should have knowledge of Securities Services and Financial Markets.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Deliver superior financial performance**
- Working in conjunction with the lead sales team members and Client Relationship team in CCIB, to support them in delivering revenue and activity targets for the client portfolio (based in client planning) and actively call on the client base to ensure targeted realization rates are met and the client relationship strategies are implemented.
- Assuming responsibility and management of own client portfolio after 6-12 months
- Research potential clients to assess new sales opportunities
- Supports the Continental European team in executing the sales strategy and marketing plan
- To manage the transfer of best practices between markets, in order to leverage our capabilities with the client portfolio.
- Ability to help the sales team to structure and deliver solutions which meet client needs
- Help support sales team in maximizing revenue, profit margins & economic return.

**Continuously improve the way we work**
- To help support the FSS relationship across all products for a portfolio of clients.
- To help support RFP and deal processes for the specific client base, to ensure optimal solution provided and presented to the client; working with sales, product management and operations to deliver the desired results
- Provide support to ensure smooth deal implementation and adherence to high levels of service quality.
- To provide feedback to Product Management on client needs, trends and market intelligence, and to provide direction on proposed project programme initiatives to central product management teams.
- To keep abreast of clients’ needs, trends, and product / market intelligence for new product developments/ enhancements, strengthening SCB’s competitive position in this field.
- Works closely together with FSS Sales and Client Service in our footprint markets to ensure best service levels for our Continental European clients

**Business**
- Maintains awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic, and market environments in which the Group and the Financing and Securities Services business operates in.
- Maintains broad knowledge of all products within the FSS framework of a capital markets.
- Builds and manages sales pipeline in support of the sales strategy against assigned targets (budget) which are revised annually according to business growth plan.
- Ensures the assigned targets and scorecard measurements are met.
- Monitors competitor activities and market share within their region, and internally highlights threats and opportunities.

**Processes**
- Coordinates activities related to new business proposals, such as RFP, Business Acceptance Process, Due Diligence, etc.
- Provides input to pricing proposals in compliance with conduct and business requirements, with input and approval from relevant parties.
- Liaises with business and support functions to ensure all relevant policies are adhered to.
- Maintains an appropriate balance between advocating client agendas and maintaining standardisation of business model.
- Helps with the preparation of client pitches and meetings
- Tracks and reports the revenue activity and pipeline across Continental Europe.
- Supports clients and the Sales team during the client onboarding process.
- Ensures that all client meeting call reports are input into the CRMx system

**Risk Management**
- Takes responsibility for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks to the Group. Also, an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the Group and the role the individual and the team play in managing them.
- Ensures all regulatory and compliance initiatives surrounding the product are identified, socialised, and closed out in a timely and efficient fashion.

**Governance**
- Assesses the effectiveness of the Group’s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, recommend changes in these areas
