Religious Education Program Director

**Duties**:
- Works under the supervision of the Installation Management Command (IMCOM) Europe Command Chaplain providing programmatic support for IMCOM Europe Religious Education.
- Collects data and reporting, formulates plans, and develops new programs, methods and approaches to affect a comprehensive IMCOM Europe region wide religious education and youth ministry program.
- Assesses resource requirements to meet the needs of religious education programs within IMCOM Europe.
- Provides oversight, customer service, and support for IMCOM Europe religious education and youth ministry leaders in their execution of comprehensive religious education programs for all Army and Army Reserve personnel.
- Evaluates Garrison training plans for religious education and youth ministry personnel.
- Serves as liaison and Subject Matter Expert to Civilian Personnel Advisory Center for all IMCOM Europe religious education hiring actions.
- Builds and maintains a culture of dignity and respect among religious education professionals serving within the Chaplain Corps.

- This position requires regular contact with children under the age 18 and a favorable determination of suitability to do so and periodic re-verification check of multiple agency records.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- Applicants must comply with the Exceptional Family Member Program requirements as outlined in the DoD Instruction 1315.19.
- This position requires a valid, state-issued and USAREUR Driver's License and must be insurable in order to travel to other locations in the Command's structure.
- This position requires you to be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance of access for the duration of employment which includes a background investigation and credit check.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid regular or official U.S. Passport.
- This position requires Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel approximately 20% of the time away from your permanent duty station.

**Who May Apply**: US Citizens- **Basic Requirement for Religious Education Program Director**:
A. Degree: Master's degree (or higher degree) in Religious Education or its equivalent from an accredited graduate school.
- OR
- B. A graduate degree of any discipline other than religious education must include a minimum of 24 documented credits in religious education theory and practice.

**In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below**:
**Specialized Experience**:One year of specialized experience which includes directing, developing, and implementing an effective religious
- education and youth ministry programs for the full array of faiths at installation military communities. This definition of specialized experience is performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
- You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
- Education / Training Program Administration
- Education Consultation, Coaching and Collaboration
- Planning and Evaluating
- Religious Education Services
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).

- Direct deposit of pay is required.
- U.S. citizens overseas under ordinarily resident status are not eligible for appointment under the Status of Forces Agreement.
- If an employee brings a child to an overseas location and that child is entitled to attend a DoD school on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, the DoDEA and the Military Department responsible for providing related services will ensure that the child, if eligible for special education, receives a free appropriate public education, including related services pursuant to DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.
- If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler, but for the child's age, is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, then the Military Department responsible for EIS will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS in accordance with the eligibility criteria consistent with DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.
