Cyient is seeking a Project Scheduler & Planner to its Global Project Management Office in Plant Engineering. The role of a Project Scheduler & Planner is to manage, within its own responsibility area of scheduling, planning and controlling the assigned project in an organized manner and running accordingly during the lifetime of the project. The
Project Scheduler
& Planner works closely with the Project Manager, including reporting to the Project Manager in the assigned projects in order to create a comprehensive action plan concerning resources, budgets, and timeframes. A
Project Scheduler
performs various duties such as scheduling, planning, reporting and risk management duties with a high level of communication with all relevant internal stakeholders. The Project Scheduler & Planner will have the opportunity to participate in the internal development programs within project management function.
Main responsibilities
- Control assigned projects and develop a complete WBS and resource loaded schedule for the projects in accordance with contract, requirements, specifications and to the desired quality in focus
- Identify, follow up and communicate key milestones, dependencies and critical path activities and progress
- Adjust schedule based on approved changes, creation of subschedules
- Identify and obtain necessary approvals from internal stakeholders during project lifetime
- Create and monitor progress/cost reports
- Create Look-ahead, milestone and critical path schedules
- Analyze overall work progress impact on schedule
- Analyze any approved added work/scope on overall schedule
- Contribute to weekly and monthly project forecasting
- Ensure proactive communication with the project team in all items related to own responsibility area
- Participating in sales, offering and implementation stages of projects, active engagement in customer relationships
- Provide lessons learned initiatives for development purposes within own responsibility area
- Develop ways of working, methods and tools within scheduling and planning
Metrics/KPIs
- Budget adherence (check planned vs. actual, check vs. KPIs, change orders)
- Schedule adherence (check planned vs. actual)
- Customer satisfaction
**Qualifications**:
- Five (5) or more years of Primavera scheduling on day to day basis or MS Project experience where Primavera experience will count as an asset and especially a key user level experience
- Strong experience of international industrial plant engineering projects
- B.Sc or M.Sc in Engineering or relevant engineering fields of study with professional experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English is a must
- Communication Skills in Finnish, Swedish or German is seen as an asset
- Strong in stakeholder management skills and proactive problem-solving mindset
- Experience in contract and requirement management is a strong asset in this position
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Previous experience of engineering business culture and customer interface
- Previous experience from global project environments, especially in the mining area are seen as an advantage
