The Digital Communications Lead has a critical role to play in supporting the organisation’s work, both in terms of delivering impact and building our profile, as well as working with peers to ensure that we have the funding to deliver our mission.

You will lead a team devising and delivering digital communications for the whole organisation, telling our story to the right online audiences to drive action, ensuring we use digital tools to influence-decision making, deliver impact and cultivate long-term support. You will also lead on diverse digital-first projects drawn from across the organisation, leading contributions from communications, external affairs peers and other experts.

**Meet your Manager**

In this role, you will be managed by Tim Jenner. Tim is our Global Head of Digital Communications, having joined ClientEarth's London office in February 2020. Over 13 years, Tim has worked as an international fundraiser at several charities, most recently at the International Rescue Committee. In that time, Tim has focused on a range of supporter engagement channels including digital and direct response, donor stewardship, SMS, and supporter-led events. Tim holds a professional diploma with the Institute of Direct Marketing.

Main Duties

Leading Digital Communications work:

- Line manage ClientEarth’s digital communications specialists on a day-to-day basis, including work allocation between team members. Develop a high performing team, provide strategic direction and guidance, and ensuring professional development opportunities as well as staff wellbeing.
- Manage relationships with all external suppliers and consultants commissioned to support digital communications work.

Lead on our strategic digital vision
- Oversee the organisation’s digital content strategy, ensuring close collaboration and coordination with colleagues across the External Affairs group (Communications and Development departments).

Delivering campaigns and building audiences

Act as the digital commuications champion

Website management & digital communications channels

Role requirements
- Experience of devising and delivering digital communciations content distribution programmes
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of digital organic and paid channels
- Experience of structuring and managing budgets
- Experience of providing leadership and management of a small team or department including line management of direct reports
- Fluent (CEFR level C2) in English
