**Program Summary**

**KBR** leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the **Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract** (**LOGCAP**). KBR’s enduring mission support of the **LOGCAP** program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 14 countries.

**Job Summary**

The **Bradley Turret Mechanic** performs field maintenance, diagnoses and troubleshoots malfunctions, performs organizational maintenance and on-board direct support tasks on the suspension systems, steering systems, hydraulic systems, auxiliary power units, fire extinguisher/suppression systems, gas particulate systems, vehicular mounted armament, gun turret drive system and the fire control system on the M2 Bradley.

The Turret/Bradley Mechanic is a skilled professional responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the optimal functioning of armored vehicles. The Mechanic provides Care of Stock in Storage (COSIS) based on preventative maintenance services under the guidance of the Section Supervisor.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Perform a variety of duties to include battle damage repair on M2 Bradley.
- General maintenance includes but is not limited to: Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS), general inspections, component repairs and replacement, unscheduled maintenance, and repairs of inbound/outbound vehicles.
- Determine required repairs and parts.
- Complete lubrication orders.
- Handle -10 and-20 level Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) required maintenance.
- Remove, replace and repair sub-assemblies and components such as engines, transmissions, turrets, armament system and non-repairable parts.
- Repair and replace Fire Suppression System modules, sensors, wiring, and extinguisher bottles.
- Repair or replace faulty components such as motors, gears, sensors, wiring, and hydraulic systems.
- Perform maintenance related procedures and processes such as road tests, ground guide operations, adjust and makes emergency repairs to equipment to include placing and maintaining decals on vehicles, checking, and replacing batteries, replacing track, washing, and cleaning interior and exterior of equipment, checking and maintaining fluid levels and fuel.
- Maintain and account for provided tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Regularly inspect track vehicles to identify wear and damage.
- Lubricate moving parts and clean components.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in turrets.
- Ensure proper alignment of track systems to maintain accuracy and precision.
- Calibrate aiming systems to ensure accurate targeting and firing of weapons.
- Use specialized tools and equipment to adjust sensors, optics, and targeting mechanisms.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts replaced.
- Provide records to operators to maintain a database of turret maintenance schedules and historical data.
- Test track vehicles after repairs or maintenance to ensure proper functionality.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on track vehicles and wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensure compliance with regulations and standards related to track vehicle maintenance and operation.
- Educate and provide oversight to non-specialized motor vehicle mechanics to ensure quality services and repairs.
- Collaborate with other mechanics, engineers, and technical staff to solve complex issues.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding maintenance status and potential concerns.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Basic Qualifications **(Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
- ** Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a NACI. Due to this, you must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Green Card holder who has lived within the United States for at least the last 3 years to be eligible for this position.**:

- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical or related field is preferred.
- Must be educated on and have at least 6 years of experience in the Bradley Fighting Vehicle’s military combat systems including the Bradley’s hull and turret operations.
- Requires experience diagnosing the source of trouble and determining the extent of repairs required.
- Must have experience replacing worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts; grinding and adjusting valves.
- Requires experience overhauling transmissions.
- Must have experience repairing fuel injection, lighting, and ignition systems.
