- connectivity of the own research to research at the institute in the field of "Knowledge and Organisation" or "Social and Political Inequalities" as well as a connection to at least one of the three university research foci (digitalisation; sustainability (e.g. energy); participation). Connectivity should be demonstrated in the research concept on the basis of previous project and/or publication activities.
- an empirically sound working method with a methodological focus on cause-effect relationships.
- scientific expertise proven by peer-reviewed publications in internationally recognised peer-reviewed journals or equally renowned book publications.
- experience with the independent acquisition and management of third-party funded projects.
- teaching experience in the political system of Germany and the European Union proven by teaching evaluations or a list of courses taught so far.
- the willingness to participate in the acquisition of coordinated research networks.
Experience in and willingness to cooperate across disciplinary boundaries are also **desirable**, as demonstrated by existing projects and publications. As the University of Bremen and the University of Oldenburg are bound by a cooperation agreement, active participation in the cooperation is expected.
Prerequisites for employment are specified in section 25 of the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act (NHG). The University aims to increase its proportion of woman in science. Equally qualified woman will be considered preferentially. In case of equal aptitude, applicants with disabilities will be given priority in hiring decisions. The position is suitable for part-time employment.
