We are looking for a
**Master student - stable AAV producer cell lines (M/F/d)**
**What you'll do**:
- Address the possibilities of beneficial amino-acid substitutions in the coding region of some specific AAV gene isoforms. Such benefits have been recently demonstrated for transient vector production and shall now be confirmed in the stable ELEVECTA system, which is the only available system on the market, that allows for precise gene dosage titration and combinatorial screens of different beneficial mutations.
- Investigate the cellular interaction between toxic viral gene products and the host cell upon induced expression. These experiments involve targeted evolution, selection and analysis of surviving cells and should provide insight into advantageous cellular factors that improve cell line development and vector production
**Who you are**:
- Currently a Master Student in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology or a similar field
- Trained in AAV quantification using qPCR, ddPCR and ELISA, as well as AAV production in suspension culture and molecular cloning that involves PCR, gel electrophoresis and relevant bacteriology.
**It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in**:
The use of SnapGene software, proficiency in English and German language and a track record of formal GMO training according to federal law (- 28 Gen-TSV or comparable).
