With our research in the divisions of climate-neutral energy systems, resource-efficient processes and circular products, we make concrete contributions to achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. Our employees conduct research in the fields of energy, environment, safety, health, communication and mobility.

We are looking for motivated and passionate employees for our innovative project for the electrochemical processing of glycerol from biodiesel production. Our aim is to make this co-product sustainably usable and available for microbial conversion into valuable end products.

**What you will do**
- Development of electrocatalysts for the conversion of glycerol to valorized organic compounds
- Production and characterization of electrodes for use in state-of-the-art electrolyzers
- Testing and optimization of an electrochemical conversion process for glycerol
- Coordination of the linkage to a microbial downstream process
- Regular presentation of the results in internal and external project meetings

**What you bring to the table**
- Degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemistry, biotechnology or a similar field of study
- Relevant experience in the analysis of organic compounds
- Knowledge of electrochemistry is desirable
- Independent and conscientious scientific way of working
- Very good knowledge of written and spoken English
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
