**YOUR TEAM**:
In the GM-2 team at CARIAD, we build mobility services in a very multifaceted environment, revolving around the Volkswagen brands. These services are accessed through multiple touchpoints in a variety of car software platforms. We work hard so that our users can stay engaged on their journey through our products and reach their destination quickly and enjoyably. This is why we design products across the entire lifecycle - from the very first contact to, oftentimes, a life-long relationship with our brands.
This level of scale requires a team of user experience experts with different skills and specializations:
Information Architects who can envision large scale services that work seamlessly across multiple devices and car systems
Seasoned Designers who steadily improve the usability of services and manage components across our multi-brand design system
Coders and Prototypers who enable us to test our ideas at an early stage and Researchers who ensure that we always choose the path with the most value to our users

We are currently looking for an **UX/UI Concept Design Specialist - Design Systems (f/d/m)** to join our team. You’ll work directly with product owners, engineers, as well as peers in data science, UX and many other disciplines to shape the experience of our mobility services, all in an agile environment. In your role, you will help the team navigate through design challenges by propelling design excellence and being an advocate for the user. You will help us on our mission to build beautiful, easy-to-use, future-proof services that encompass strong design principles.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**:

- Create engaging design systems and their components, patterns, and guidelines across touchpoints in-car HMI, Mobile apps, and Web on daily basis
- Support conceptualization, roll-out, maintenance of efficient design system workflows across touchpoints i.e. for design libraries, guidelines, documentation, etc.
- Creation and extension of design system tokens and workflows, including hand-off processes to developers
- Create and maintain templates of working files in the design system
- Development of ”sticker sheets” and exemplary interface screens of design systems
- Content creation of documentation, user manual, editorial work, etc. on online platforms (e.g. Frontify)
- Responsibility for design operations ( e.g. workflows, design tooling)

**WHO YOU ARE**:

- Proficient in building, maintaining, and shipping design systems across different touchpoints
- Interested in and have a sense for UX/UI design (tooling, token, UX patterns, styles typo, colors and branding) and intuitive user interfaces. You also have excellent knowledge about UI guidelines
- Have a solid design tool skillset (e.g. Figma, Sketch) and knowledge of using design system documentation platforms (e.g. Frontify, Invision DSM, Figma)
- Experienced with agile frameworks - close collaboration between developers and designers is beneficial
- Fluent in English and, preferably, also in German. Additional languages are always welcome
