**What you will do**

Configuring entry points and security relevant methods (SRM) is a critical step when using Static Analysis tools to detect security vulnerabilities. Manually identifying entry points and SRMs is a laborsome and error-prone process that can often only be performed by security experts. To solve this problem, previous approaches for Java that use machine learning to automatically detect SRMs such as sources and sinks have shown positive results. You will perform these tasks in order to implement a machine learning pipeline to detect entry points, sources and sinks in C++/C programs:

- Review publication and datasets containing labelled datasets of C++/C SRMs Active participation in...
- Create a training dataset with labelled examples of C++/C methods categorized as entry points and SRMs
- Extract machine learning features derived from useful information using PhASAR/LLVM
- Train and evaluate the machine learning approach

**What you bring to the table**
- You are studying Computer Science or a comparable course of study
- Good C++/C, Java and/or Python programming skills
- Machine learning knowledge
- Experience with LLVM/PhASAR is advantageous but not essential
