**About the role**
- Implementation and assurance of the German legislative and Johnson & Johnson company guidelines for occupational safety and environmental protection
- Regular inspection of workplaces considering occupational safety guidelines and deriving measures to eliminate deficiencies
- Preparing, designing and maintaining safe, healthy and humane work systems
- Identifying and assessing work-related accident and health hazards and health promotion factors
- Continuously improving the safety and health of all employees
- Designing workplaces and work processes to achieve efficient ergonomics
- Creation, updating and maintenance of operating and work instructions for occupational safety
- Continuously updating the EHSS management system
- Carrying out risk assessments
- Training and coaching of supervisors, employees and safety officers to continuously improve EHSS performance
- Organizational development of occupational health and safety in the company

**What will you do**

As an EHS Specialist you'll join our Environment, Health, Safety & Sustainability team in Neuss, Wuppertal as part of the Johnson & Johnson consumer health care business. With a broad portfolio of well-known brands, we are in touch with the consumer at every stage of life. In Consumer Health,, you will work with our iconic brands

You will provide technical expertise to improve processes to evaluate and control safety of environmental risks in areas such as chemical hazards and properties, air monitoring techniques, chemical hazard control techniques, permissible exposure levels, noise monitoring and control ventilation, non-ionizing radiation and health standards interpretation.
