Scientific Researcher to Coordinate Social Science

The position is in the Competence Center Policy and Society.
**What you will do**
- As part of an interdisciplinary team in the Competence Center Policy and Society, you will work on and/or manage interesting projects, developing solutions for research and innovation policy that help to foster sustainability, resilience and societal well-being.
- In addition, you will support the scientific policy advice activities of our institute.
- You will work on applied innovation research projects and will have the opportunity to develop, acquire and lead your own projects. In addition, we offer you the opportunity for strategic further development in the above-mentioned topics.**What you bring to the table**
- You have successfully completed a university degree in the field of social sciences, especially sociology, political science or economics and administrative sciences.
- Ideally, you have already completed a PhD and are interested in further refining your thematic profile. You should also be interested in interdisciplinary issues and very willing to work as part of a team.
- In-depth knowledge of current research and innovation policy (R&I policy), especially with regard to the role of the state or public administration in shaping R&I policy that contributes to societal transformation processes, is desirable. Expertise in the field of organizational innovation and organizational transformation is particularly welcome.
- We also expect very good knowledge of quantitative and qualitative methods in the social sciences and economics, especially of more recent methods such as web crawling, text mining or participatory research.
- Experience with evaluating funding programs and with acquiring and conducting contract research projects is of advantage.
- We require very good German and English language skills, experience with the conventional Office software as well as convincing presentation skills, both in writing and orally.
