The fixed-term employment is possible as it constitutes one of the fixed-term options of the Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz (German Act on Fixed-term Scientific Contracts).
This is a full-time position.
The salary is based on the German public service salary scale (TV-L).
The position corresponds to a pay grade of EG 13 TV-L.
**Unser Profil**:
**Ihr Profil**:
- PhD degree in chemistry or chemical engineering
- Highly motivated, open-minded and solution-oriented organic, catalytic or polymer chemist
- General experience in the synthesis and analysis of organic compounds
- First experience in chemical process development and hands-on experience with pressurized reactor systems and heterogeneously catalyzed reaction is an advantage
- Structured way of working, good communication skills and a team player attitude
- Fluent in written and spoken English
**Ihre Aufgaben**:
- You will conduct cutting-edge research in the field of circular economy of plastics in close cooperation with academia and industry.
- You will be part of an international and interdisciplinary research team.
- You will present your results in scientific publications, conferences and invention disclosures.
- You will participate in teaching by supervising research internships, bachelor and master theses
- With your expertise you will contribute to the development of new processes and polymers that support the transition to a circular economy of plastics.
