Smurfit Westrock Recycling is part of the Smurfit Westrock Group. Recovered fibres from recycled paper and board are a major source of raw material for Smurfit Westrock paper mills. Locally collected paper and cardboard is made into compacted bales, which are then transported to paper mills for recycling. Smurfit Westrock Recycling Europe has a network of recycling plants committed to minimising waste and closing loops. Sustainability is in our DNA. We currently are looking for a Business Application Support to support the Recycling cluster. The Business Application Support reports to the Senior Business Application Support.

Business Application Support (m/w/d)

**Main Tasks/Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities**:
The Business Application Support, working closely within his/her small team, will bring support to the recycling business with the following main activities:

- European Business System 1st line Support Team (helpdesk, like solving end user problems in the ticketing system (Topdesk) and setting up and adjusting user rights)
- Participate in Business process improvements: discuss and advise countries and depots on functional and business process improvements and best practice solutions.
- Participate in software changes: perform root cause analysis and document requirements in functional specifications. Extensive testing of software changes with different scenarios
- Documenting changes, improvements, interface running rules and newly implemented business processes in the system handbook.
- Point of contact in case of calamities for Global IS or business management.
- Support compliance with IT controls and Sarbanes-Oxley (SarbOx).
- Prepare and perform training sessions for European key-users.

**Key Competencies/Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Minimum Bachelor education or equivalent in finance, IT or engineering
- Familiar with Order-To-Cash, inventory and financial processes
- 1-3 years of experience required
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Competence profile: accurate, analytical and conceptual thinking, flexibility, information seeking and initiative
- Good understanding on ERP systems and preferably experience with Microsoft Dynamics Nav/BC 2018
- Good knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office is a must
- Good knowledge on IT infrastructure is a plus
- Excellent in English (speaking & writing). German and/or Spanish is a plus.
- Self-motivated with strong organisational skills and ability to prioritize own workload
- Remote work is part of the job
