Title and Summary

Director, Account Management

The Director - Account Management is a key role in the German market & our Sales Organization as we continue to build on our success in the local markets. The account director is responsible for managing customer relationships and driving profitability opportunities with key customer. The scope of the role includes providing value to customers through Mastercard solutions and thought leadership consultation as well as via leveraging cross functional project teams, systems and services. Responsible for setting sales strategies as it relates to customer accounts that are aligned with geography strategy and achieving sales goals that drive market share, volume, and revenue growth. Leads and manages existing customer relationships and works to identify opportunities and customer needs. Partners with customers to deliver customized solutions and comprehensive consulting support. Responsible for pipeline management at the account level.

Your role:

- You will be responsible for further develop our success within the savings banks organization by developing the relationship and sell the wide range of products and services provided by Mastercard
- Build, manage and further cultivate strong relationships between Mastercard and key clients across all business functions that value can be delivered (cards, fraud, marketing, operations, acquiring, debit, digital, analytics, cybersecurity and business analysis)
- Identify key stakeholders from the customers and leverage internal resources to achieve their business goals and objectives set by the clients
- Your primary focus will be to develop, accelerate and grow the partnership with our customers
- Identify new Business opportunities in the savings banks organization to focus on the corporate agenda. Push digitization with the savings banks organization in Germany. Optimize existing Business & Bundle our full repertoire of Products, Services & Assets to the client needs
- You are expected to build, manage, and develop the business relationship with the entire organization of the customer

All about you:

- Demonstrated success in customer/sales roles, with specific and demonstrable experience in sales/negotiations/contract management
- Experience and proven track record in account management
- Comprehensive experience executing and managing sales strategies
- Excellent financial acumen, revenue management and experience working with P&L
- Strong influencing, negotiation and conflict resolution experience
- Strong track record in commercial and consumer card business with experience with the savings banks organization (ideal)
- Outstanding communication skills from a written, verbal and presentation perspective
- Solid experience of consultative sales and relationship management experience within the financial services or payments industry sectors
- Strong analytical and diagnostic capabilities
- Self-starter, independent operator and highly proactive
