Communications Specialist (m/w/d)

We’re looking for a Communication Specialist to join us in Hamburg

Lead with us as you develop and activate our regional and local stories to deliver earned media coverage for our Corporate Communications, Brand PR and Social Media to promote KELLOGG'S® and PRINGLES® brands and drive our reputation. You will also support our Internal communications calendar and events to drive employee engagement. The atmosphere in our team is fun, challenging and inspiring. You will collaborate with a diverse group of individuals from other functions like our Marketing, Sales, Wellbeing teams and other cross functional partners.

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

Provide leadership and support across all external communications, including corporate, brand, ESG and public affairs and lead the internal communications agenda.
Protect and build the Company’s reputation through the management of media and develop local impactful news cycle. Provide guidance and direction to PR agency partners and review and approve in our internal approval system all PR materials to ensure communication is accurate, relevant and consistent with Kellanova corporate messaging and positions. Build advocacy for Kellogg’s brands and Pringles and tell stories via communication campaigns that inform and engage external stakeholders, journalists and employees.
Lead & animate local social media channels, overlook at the editorial calendar to create relevant content for the different channels ( yammer, linkedin, IG, Tik Tok). Drive the organization of internal events: local convention, local townhalls, newsletter if relevant. Implement EU ESG strategy by ensuring the public affairs & sustainability plans in the markets where it’s relevant, while engaging with senior internal and external stakeholders. Expand our Better Days program and charity partnership. Implement EU EVP among internal & external engagement. Crisis management in co-ordination with the Line Manager, and effective resolution to crisis issues.

Your Recipe For Success
Educated to degree level in communications, public relations, journalism, English or related discipline preferred. Demonstrable experience in a mid-level external communications role, corporate communications and/or PR Agency. Great influencing, project management skills and the ability to prioritise. Working knowledge of the food industry, sustainability and related European policy matters. Fluency in English and German is essential, other European language is a plus.
