We are looking for a highly motivated Professional Services Procurement Specialist (f/m/d) to join our team The Professional Services Procurement Specialist (f/m/d) plays an integral role by developing and implementing solid sourcing strategies while partnering with stakeholders, anticipates risk, identify key areas of opportunity to drive growth and efficiencies by selecting core suppliers and validating they provide optimal cost, quality and other measurable deliverables.
**Responsibilities**:
This individual is responsible for sourcing and negotiating a portfolio of goods and services, to meet the requirements of assigned Professional Services Spend Categories for EU/AEA and acts as a single point of contact for Central Europe West Hub while optimizing cost and processes. The individual will also undertake proactive spend analysis and research to identify potential future tactical buying and strategic sourcing opportunities. The Buyer plays an integral role by:
- Performing buying activities (RFP, Analysis, etc.)
- Actively communicating with the business stakeholders to ensure that their purchase requirements are met
- Maintaining an awareness of changing market conditions
- Performing periodic spend analysis to identify opportunities for local and Division projects
- Managing spend assigned spend categories and supporting global projects
- Conducting periodic key stakeholder meetings with business partners to review local spend category strategy and activities
- Leverage supply base opportunities across managed portfolio
- Managing, resolving and communicating on local quality and service issues
- Prioritizing requests and activities so as to deliver in a timely manner
- Special projects (as appropriate)
- Achieve Business Simplification
**Education/Requirements**:
- A minimum of a Bachelor of Arts or Science in Sourcing, Business, Finance, or comparable discipline is required.
- An advanced degree (MBA) or professional certification is desirable.
- Fluent English is a must have
This individual should have a proven track record of performance with either three or more years of work experience, preferably in Procurement.
- Has basic understanding of procurement, spend category management and project management methodologies, e-procurement processes and negotiation
- has a high degree of problem solving skills and the ability to drive change with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. SAP experience is desired
- Understands how the business operates in the context of the local marketplace; understands the functions and the complex interrelationships; has the ability to translate business needs into comprehensive local sourcing strategies and processes that ensure superior business results
- Has the ability to build a network of subsidiary, divisional and global contacts; establishes trust and rapport with internal and external colleagues; has the ability to lead global cross functional teams. Uses the expertise of the team members to find optimal solutions
- Has the ability to develop, monitor, and manage complex cross-functional project plans to meet business and functional needs and deadlines
- Has a deep understanding of the functional discipline and possesses expertise and in depth knowledge of the spend category
- Has strong intuition and conceptual understanding about how things work: sees and understands the impact of innovation, process, and technology on business results
- Has the ability to use spend analytics and industry data to determine the best strategy to meet business requirements and deliver an optimal return on investment (ROI). Makes effective, timely decisions based on data
- Is able to communicate with key stakeholders and management to keep them informed of pertinent business and sourcing strategy and process changes
