The Information Security Function of Allianz X GmbH ensures that information security risks, within Allianz X and its consolidated entities, are identified and properly addressed. It ensures that Allianz information is adequately protected, in line with legal and regulatory requirements.

Allianz X is the digital investment unit of the Allianz Group. We invest in, partner with and acquire digital growth companies that are part of the insurance related ecosystems. By providing an interface between our portfolio companies and the Allianz digital ecosystem we drive innovation across Allianz’s operating entities and global lines of business.

**The main objectives are**:
Continue running and improving on the Information Security Function in order to protect confidential information. Key objectives include;
- Coordinate and run governance and steering activities around Information Security to maintain targeted compliance and maturity levels
- Exercise a pragmatic approach to implementing Allianz Group policies and standards across Allianz X and its consolidated entities
- Ensure that risks are managed line with defined methodologies, including IT, cyber and supplier risk
- Work with IT, IS and other governance functions across the Group, as well as within Allianz X and its consolidated entities
- Ensure that vulnerabilities and incidents with regard to business activities and systems can be identified, tracked and resolved in a timely manner
- Govern, support and lead new projects and solutions from a security perspective to strengthen Allianz X’s cyber resilience
- Maintain an improving level of security awareness through advocation, training and communication of security topics for all Allianz X employees
- Support the investment teams with technology and security due diligence activities to identify associated risks and costs

**Key Responsibilities**

Establish oversight and drive information security management for Allianz X GmbH, as well as across the consolidated entities. Key duties in this role include:

- Coordinate and perform IS steering activities for Information Security through board and reporting mechanisms
- Monitor and improve the IS posture in terms of achieving compliance and maturity targets according to the group structures
- Adopt principles and rules derived from Group policies and standards to Allianz X and consolidated entities
- Identify, assess, manage and monitor information security risks in related to existing and new business and IT activities, processes and services
- Coordinate activities for asset, vulnerability and incident management to reduce risk on information assets which may arise from security threats
- Work together with other governance functions (Compliance, Risk Management, Information Technologies, Protection & Resilience, Legal / Privacy) on common objectives
- Plan and execute IS communication and training activities; coordinate and run regular simulations and exercises against known threats, including social engineering

**Qualification**
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, IT, Management / Business Information Systems or related field is required.
- Professional certifications in Information Security (e.g. CISM, CRISC, CISA, CISSP) desirable.
- Sufficient knowledge of current security technologies and practices (e.g. IS Compliance / Risk Management, Network, System and Application Security, Vulnerability / Penetration Testing and other security practices)
- Successful track record in working for large and diverse international organizations
- Fluent English mandatory

**Experience & Key skills**
- 6-10 years of significant, professional experience in information technology and a high level of understanding of contemporary hardware and software architectures,
- Understanding of international standards and best practices (ISO27001, ITIL, COBIT, CSA) and regulatory requirements
- High quality analytical skills, management experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish relationships across all business areas and act in a consultative manner to identify the security requirements applicable to each business area and to intertwine security needs with the goals and objectives of the organization
