Located in Cologne and joining the management team of the school group we are looking for a full-time

**Head of Admissions (M/F/d)**

The Head of Admissions is a key position in our Cologne school, reporting to the School Director and forming part of the school’s Senior Leadership Team. The key focus of the role will be to implement a growth strategy and development plan that ensures attraction, recruitment and retention of students. To be carried out through demonstrating the schools’ promises and highlighting these through key touch points within the school community both internally and externally. The postholder will have the responsibility for leading the Admissions team to ensure a seamless Customer Journey (parents and pupils) through setting relevant policy, procedures, quality standards, customer service standards, and ensuring their delivery to all prospective students, applicants, and their influencers. British International School Cologne has an effective outreach programme with the internal and external local community which develops and builds on the school’s reputation.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement a growth strategy and tactical business development plan that ensures attraction, recruitment and retention of pupils
- Achieve the target growth and retention numbers in line with the annual enrolment target
- Monitor the admissions plan and communicate findings to the school management and the board, to ensure the business plan reflects the admissions plan
- Contribute to the wider business through sharing of best practice and supporting or driving business development opportunities
- Lead, coach and guide the admissions team to deliver annual enrolment targets.
- Oversee parent communication (in alignment with marketing and overall school guidelines) to ensure quality (written and verbal language ,structure and attention to detail) and professionalism.
- Develop key processes and lead team to guide parents and students through the admissions process, making the experience positive, easy and engaging throughout.
- Lead the team to develop an understanding of each family’s needs and interests, using tools and templates to help them find and sell to each families’ needs and interests.
- Drive conversion at each stage of the pipeline by coaching and developing team to overcome objections, recognise buying signals and close at each step of the process

**Profile**:
**Experience & Knowledge**:

- Relevant sales experience, education sector experience is desired
- At least 5 years’ experience in a sales role with demonstrated success in growing/increasing sales in a competitive market
- Experience of networking to build mutually beneficial relationships that positively impact on strategic and tactical business development
- Possess the ability to build strong customer support and loyalty and retention (pupils)
- Experience in the field of Admissions

**Competencies**:

- Strong leadership skills and proven ability to manage a team to achieve and succeed desired outcomes
- Strong analytical skills and proven record of using data and research to support initiatives undertaken
- Ability to build, manage and motivate cross functional high performing teams
- Experience of working with CRM systems and integration with the sales life cycle
- Experience in using digital and social media trends and tools to influence the sales life cycle

- Proficiency in English and German preferred, additional languages are a plus
