We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated and self-confident Senior Legal Counsel (f/m/d) supporting our fast-growing international RWE Offshore Wind business.

As a Senior Legal Counsel within the Construction & Procurement Law Department you will work alongside other members of the RWE Offshore Wind Legal Team and closely cooperate with other departments to deliver a holistic and streamlined service to the business of RWE Offshore Wind around the globe.

**Your future plans**
- Providing legal support to international procurement, construction and operation activities of the RWE Offshore Wind business with a focus on Germany and continental Europe
- Advising on, developing, drafting and negotiating of all kinds of procurement contracts required for the full life cycle of RWE Offshore Wind business (such as turbine supply agreements, foundation agreements, EPC(I) & turnkey contracts, purchase agreements for components, service agreements, contracts for maritime logistics (e.g. BIMCO) etc.)
- Being a projects’ first point of contact for legal advice and coordinating specialised inhouse and external legal advice in a cost and work efficient manner
- Keeping oversight of all legal matters relating to projects in your remit (including legal matters covered by other specialized lawyers) and advising senior management about all related legal risks, including claims and disputes
- Providing support (including liaising with external counsel) in related dispute resolution situations
- Driving standardisation and process improvement initiatives
- Developing non-standard, customised solutions when needed to address complex project challenges
- Establishing and nurturing effective cross-functional and cross-cultural working relationships with legal and business colleagues in the relevant regions and the wider RWE group

**We are looking for someone who has/is**:

- is qualified as a lawyer in Germany and has exceptional legal skills
- thorough expertise in construction law and an interest in becoming an expert in other fields of law related to offshore wind
- at least 8 years of work experience as a lawyer or inhouse counsel in a leading law firm or company. Preferably 5 years work experience in construction and procurement law within the renewables energy sector with a focus on complex international projects
- the ability to handle multiple tasks, take on new responsibilities and prioritize work in a dynamic environment
- commercial and technical understanding of large industrial projects and a good understanding how to best support them from the legal point of view
- excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills and a solution-oriented and positive mindset
- a high level of engagement, is a strong team contributor and is able to work individually and cross-functionally
- a fluent command of English (additional languages are beneficial), enjoys working in an international team and is open to some work-related travel
- some project management or project leadership experience, ideally
