As Senior Director of Clinical Business Development, you will be responsible for expanding the QPS’ clinical business (Clinical Conduct in Phase I-IV, Data management, Biostatistics, Medical Writing, Clinical/Medical Monitoring, Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory and Medical Affairs) in European countries with existing clients, identifying new customers and closing revenue
- generating business opportunities with biotech, Pharma and Medical Device companies.

**The job**
- Manage and fully integrate with Operations, Finance, Customer Relations, Marketing, follow-up with sponsors and prospective clients to expand relationships and business opportunities.
- Manage the sales process from lead generation through close including prospecting, networking, cold calling, meetings, presenting, following up, and convincing.
- Prospect, generate and develop new clinical program opportunities.
- Generate Request for Proposals/Information (RFP/Is) from new/existing clients in QPS’ current and future business segments for Clinical Services.
- Set up and coordinate face-to-face meetings with prospects in collaboration with our medical, regulatory and scientific experts.
- Drive sales to closure working in conjunction with Technical Operations and Commercial Operations staff.
- Network and relationship-building at decision-maker level across key accounts.
- Work with Operations and internal BD team to direct and coordinate client visits to QPS’ facilities, including pre-visit strategy, meetings and agenda.
- Represent and promote QPS at industry meetings and trade shows.
- Account planning and execution and forecasting.
- Be part of a growing, dynamic, and multi-cultural team and share experiences, plans and ideas.
- Home-office based (preferably in Germany or France).
- Around 20-40% of your time for business travel in Europe.
- Reports to Executive Director and Head of Clinical Business Development Europe.
- Prepare activity reports including priorities, plans and activities.
**Requirements**:
**Education and experience**:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in science or business, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5-10 years of experience in CRO sales is preferable. Knowledge, skills and capabilities:
- A mature, motivated and proactive team player with a taste for challenges.
- A good command of English and German or French both spoken and written.
- Knowledge and contacts within the Biotech industry, specifically in segments as
- identified above are preferable.
