Structural Repair Fatigue Specialist

In order to support the In-Service Engineering department, Airbus is looking for a

**Structural repair fatigue specialist (d/f/m)**:
The department this position is in deals with all structural components on damaged in-service aircrafts, all ATA57 High Lift structural components for all commercial Airbus programs.

**Your tasks and responsibilities**:

- Analysis of damage reports for the entire airbus fleet (ATA57)
- Production of Stress and Deformation analyses (Metal & Composites Structure (determination of Reserve Factor)
- Execution of finite element calculation, finite element update and production of load updates on allowable loads
- Stress analysis to show continued airworthiness following repair and the production of respectively stress reports
- Approval of repair documents (inclusive Repair Technical Design Sheets, Static Strength & Fatigue Approval Sheets)
- Handling and approval of AOG (aircraft on ground) damage or repairs (day and night 24/7 AOG on-call with activation in the domestic environment)
- Definition of aircraft inspection programs based on the damage report
- Definition of non-commercial flight conditions for damaged aircraft

**Desired skills and qualifications**:

- University Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Civil Engineering
- Experience in the area of structural fatigue analysis is required
- Experience in the area “Continued Airworthiness” would be beneficial
- Willingness to regularly participate in 24/7 AOG stand-by on-call service
- Fluent English language skills is a must
- German language skills would be a plus
