**ROLE SUMMARY AND GOALS**

As of now, we are seeking a highly motivated student with skills in data analysis for PK/PD modeling/simulation and good knowledge in in vivo non-clinical pharmaco-physiology for a 3-year position as PhD student in our Biberach based Research Team within the General Pharmacology group.
In your role, you will interact with and get support from General Pharmacology scientists to set up highly innovative study design and data analysis as well as digital tools all in collaboration with a dedicated PK/PD modeling team aiming to drive model-informed decision making in drug discovery research, basic science and beyond.

**PhD PROJECT**

**TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- During your PhD, you will identify PK/PD modelling opportunities to support the continuous refinement of experimental models (e.g., optimization of study design in various aspects and of data interpretation) and to investigate pharmacological mechanisms of action of research compounds.
- In addition, you will also publish peer-reviewed scientific papers.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Master degree with strong background in pharmacometrics, applied mathematics or systems biology and with good knowledge of in vivo Pharmacology, Physiology
- Proven skills in PK/PD, and/or longitudinal disease modelling. Proficiency in (statistical) programming languages (e.g., R) and pharmacometrics tools (e.g., WinNonlin, NONMEM)
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate / work in multi-disciplinary teams, and to efficiently communicate on complex PK/PD analyses
- Highly committed and goal-oriented way of working
- Good command of spoken and written English; German language or willingness to practice with support appreciated
