Intern/master’s Thesis

**Your mission**:
- Execute extraction/enzymatic hydrolysis of lignocellulosic biomass
- Fine-tune/optimize hydrolysis parameters
- Perform fermentation of lignocellulosic biomass-derived extracts
- Analyze results and discuss them with the supervisor
- Prepare samples for analysis with HPLC, UV-Vis, GC-MS, etc.
- Write SOPs and scientific reports to consolidate internal know-how
**Your profile**:
- Currently studying Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Bioprocess engineering, Biocatalysis, or equivalent
- Strong interest in sidestreams biochemistry and extraction processes
- Enthusiasm for working hands-on in the laboratory
- Ability to work independently, establishing project milestones and reporting
- You like to work effectively in a team environment
- Creative, open-minded personality with a precise, diligent, and dedicated working attitude that is keen to find out-of-the-box solutions
- Not afraid to be inquisitive and believes that “there are no stupid questions”
- Knowledge of Microsoft office package and other relevant software like DOE and Aspen would be a plus
- Fluent English is required, (German is a plus)
