**Your Role**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen in Quality Services at Surface Solutions for a Quality AssuranceExpert toensure Quality oversight and compliance in line with applicable Regulatory and Industry standards as well as customer's expectations for the business fields Coatings and Industrials at Surface Solution.

As a Global Quality Assurance Expert for the Coatings and Industrials business field of Surface Solutionyou will consult the business regarding the Quality strategy for the respective business fields. In this function, you will listen tocustomers/authority expectations and transfer them into quality standards for our production sites. To meet applicable requirements (IATF 16949, food contact,customer-specific, etc.) you will setstandards and give guidance as well as governancefor global quality processes.Defining and trending meaningful Q-KPIs reflecting customers' view and need and deriving improvement projects are facilitating the achievement of your objectives.

Furthermore. you support the process chain (suppliers until customers) in audits and quality declarations and negotiate and manage (global) Customer Quality Agreements.

If escalated, you will lead RCA and mitigation task forces in serious quality incidents (e.g., critical complaints, and recalls). Finally, collaboration in internal and external committees (e.g., Global Strategic Account Teams, etc.) will round up your tasks.

**Who you are**:

- A Master's degree in chemistry or other natural science degree is required; Ph.D. degree is preferred
- Sound knowledge and experience in quality-related functions (QA or QC for at least 5 years) and the ability to provide in-depth knowledge on a wide range of Quality processes
- Capability to manage and deliver in a matrix environment and ability to interact cross-functionally in a global environment
- Comfortable translating and conveying complex quality topics to internal and external stakeholders (including direct customer contacts)
- Ability to understand and communicate complex quality issues in a simple way and to orchestrate plans to resolve issues and mitigate risks
- You are used to looking for lean and efficient solutions, especially of a digital nature
- Negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to lead & implement quality-related project initiatives
- Effective communication and presentation skills (verbal and writing) in English andGerman
- Curious about new technologies
- Excitement about the Surface Solution business and joining a motivated harmonious and intercultural team

Position can be based in Germany, the USA (Pennsylvania, Philadelphia), India, Japan, China
