Vertical Sales Expert

**A Snapshot of Your Day**
You start your day with checking news from the market available in internet, databases, newsletters to keep yourself and the organization up to date on the latest developments regarding your area of responsibility. Afterward you organized and conduct an internal alignment call in which a cross-functional team defines the bidding strategy for an individual opportunity while considering different bidding approaches (turnkey, system, products, services).
- After lunch you have planned a customer meeting in which you listening to customers development and growth plans, identifying possible fields for cooperation and a presentation of Siemens Energy capabilities, (Bidding models, Technology, etc)
- The afternoon is free of meetings so you use the time to work on the strategies for individual business fields (Onshore, Offshore, PV/Solar) and ensure that the defined and aligned strategy will be executed in time but also adapted agile, related to changing demands and requirements.
- Before the day is over you need to finally review the target figures (Order Intake) based on target projects and aligned bidding models (alignment of multiple bidding approaches, communication, and commitment with manufacturing network, ensuring that every activity is in line with the global strategy)
**How You’ll Make an Impact**
- Gain market transparency identifying new business opportunities at an early stage.
- Regular market information update (including both customers and competitors update) and opportunities pipeline with full transparency via Sales Force tool for Order Intake forecast and planning
- As part of a global sales function team support in growing specific customer segments with an integrated g2m-strategy, innovative business models and new concepts
- Single point of contact who can act on behalf of complete GT portfolio to the customers in commercial matters and influences collaboration
- Call at all levels, including senior levels, of the Clients’ organization; engage early with potential partners looking to develop Energy Transition projects. Negotiate and manage contacts and build stakeholder relationships within multiple Client vertical’s such as planning, construction, engineering, Regional Units to successfully position Siemens Energy’s technologies and solutions
- Continuously identify new sales opportunities and focus on providing consultative sale support by building value propositions for Siemens Energy GT products, services, and solutions
- Support internal teams (technical sales, business) by offering account specific, market & competitive insights and help develop compelling value proposition
- Drive and grow Grid Technologies Vertical business as well as identifying potential external partners like EPCs, OEMs, other partners
- Plans sales volumes paired with profit levels and potential of target verticals and channels
- Supports customers directly in cost/benefits analyses and calculations to demonstrate specific advantages of using Siemens Energy as a supplier/partner
**What You Bring**
- Experience with High Voltage generation, transmission and distribution products and solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering and/ or Business field. Relevant work experience accepted as substitute
- Ability to build, grow and maintain strong executive relationships
- Excellent communicator (verbal and written), ability to lead this defined strategy internally with multiple product lines in support of proposal responses and contract negotiations
- Ability to travel 50% domestically and on occasion internationally
