Recreation Aid

**Duties**:

- Issues and ensures correct, proper, and safe use of all fitness equipment; explains equipment usage to guests.
- Cleans and performs minor maintenance on equipment. Works various sport and fitness programs and tournaments. Answers member questions, conducts inventory, and maintains membership database.
- Utilizes automated booking system to make various reservations and appointments. Responsible for money handling and maintaining internal control practices.
- Folds and stacks finished items. Cleans rooms, corridors, stairways, sports courts, and other common areas using powered equipment in accordance with established cleaning schedules.

**Conditions of Employment**:

- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.
- Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-15.j.(1). Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Citizenship eligible under country SOFA agreement.
- May be required to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- In consideration of COVID-19, personnel within this area may routinely wear personal protective equipment (cloth face coverings, latex gloves, and face shields) while performing their regular duties.

**Qualifications**:

- Must demonstrate the ability to offer excellent customer service and the ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision. Ability to maintain tools and equipment.
- Ability to keep areas neat and clean and in order.
- Must demonstrate the ability to speak and understand English clearly.
- Must have or be able to obtain American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED training certification within 6 months of hire.
