**Your Tasks**:

You will be part of an interdisciplinary research team and work on projects primarily focusing on population-level impact, cost and budget-related implications of prevention, diagnostic and care interventions of respiratory diseases relevant for Global Health, with a special focus on tuberculosis (TB). Projects are conducted in collaboration and engagement with international partners (e.g. in South Africa) and international organizations (e.g. FIND, Geneva; WHO, Geneva; and/or Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle). The projects offer exciting opportunities for learning and career development. The specific activities will include (but not be limited to):

- Contributing to the development of transmission-dynamic models of TB and other diseases
- Model-based simulation of the implementation and scale up of interventions for prevention, diagnosis and care, and related impact and health-economic analysis
- Engagement with project collaborators, stakeholders and international organizations
- Writing of manuscripts for publication and preparing scientific/project presentations (incl. travel for presentations)
- Supporting/leading grant development activities

**Your Profil**:

- PhD or minimum MSc (with at least 2 years of research experience) in epidemiology, (bio-) mathematics, public health, or a related field
- Experience in mathematical modelling of infectious diseases; additional experience in health-economic analysis would be an asset.
- Strong scientific background and clear understanding of infectious diseases and related public health challenges
- Ability to work independently and on a result-oriented basis. Willingness to expand knowledge base and take on new topics. Effective communication.
