- State-of-the-art powertrain technology for an electric future of mobility - that is our goal at Valeo eAutomotive Germany GmbH. In the Powertrain Electrified Mobility (PEM) business unit, more than 1,500 employees at the Erlangen, Herzogenaurach and Bad Neustadt sites are currently researching, developing and testing everything that drives an e-vehicle - in particular e-motors, e-axles and other HV components of the latest performance class.Your tasks- As our new Product Architect (M/F/d) you will align with R&D, purchasing, manufacturing and quality in order to define the standards for technical bricks and to ensure patent clearing for all standards defined. You also- capitalize the know-how (Standardization, Specifications, technical reports, processes and guidelines)
- contribute to the technology roadmap for product, technology bricks of the product and product manufacturing
- As to the specific products, you will- evaluate high level stakeholder needs and define the main technical bricks to be applied in P2/RfI/RfQ
- ensure an optimize design to cost approach
- Identify and support management of technical risks of the product using the defined technical bricks
- Ideally, you bring the following with you- excellent knowledge of electric drive systems (inverter, electrical machine, and/or gearbox)
- Bachelor or Master degree in electrical, software, mechanical, or mechatronical engineering, physics or similar
- proven track record in the field of automotive R&D
- very good analytical as well as communication skills and team-minded
- Good organisational and management skills
