Sports Risk Monitor

The Sports Risk Monitor plays a crucial role in our sportsbook, responsible for monitoring and managing the risks associated with our betting operations. By analysing the market trends and assessing the performance of teams and athletes, the Sports Risk Monitor ensures that our odds remain competitive, maximizing profitability and improving our margins. This role requires a deep understanding of sports betting, strong analytical skills, and the ability to make informed decisions based on complex data. The Sports Risk Monitor collaborates with various teams within the organization to implement effective risk management strategies and provide recommendations for optimizing our sportsbook's performance.

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor market movements and react accordingly.
- Make decisions on bets placed over the client's limit.
- Manage and mitigate risks.
- Monitor betting limits.
- Keep track of market movements and news activity through feeds.
- Report betting activity to the Customer Risk Analyst Team.
- Suggest ideas and actively contribute to improving team efficiency and sportsbook profitability.
- Proactively identify non-conforming products.
- Review algorithms and markets, and provide suggestions for improvements.
- Provide analysis and reports for making improvements.
- Conduct benchmarking checks and analyse reports.

**You're good at**:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a sportsbook environment.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Ability to work independently.
- Able and willing to adapt to constant dynamic changes.
- Open to receiving constructive feedback and committed to personal improvement.
- Familiarity with industry tools.
- Logical thinker for making decisions.
- Knowledgeable about various sports globally, not limited to a single sport, and willing to learn and share knowledge within the team.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding of sportsbook products, sports trading, and betting odds.
- Team-oriented with a passion for promoting knowledge sharing.
- Proactive and decisive.
- Demonstrates commitment, drive, and ambition.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and spoken English skills.
- Solid grasp of mathematical concepts, including statistics and probabilities.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts from Monday to Sunday.
