The Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology ILT is Europe's leading center for contract research and development in the field of laser technology. The Laser Material Deposition (LMD) department works closely with partners from industry and research on the development of system technology and processes for 3D printing as well as their automation and digitization. We are looking for a student assistant to collaborate on these projects. We are looking forward to welcoming you

**What you will do**
- Carrying out and evaluating experiments
- Path planning and programming of the systems (G-code)
- Support in project work with our industrial partners
- Participation in the further development of innovative manufacturing processes
- Setting up and maintaining our additive manufacturing systems

**What you bring to the table**
- You are studying a technical or scientific degree program (e.g. mechanical engineering, materials science, materials engineering, industrial engineering, physics)
- You have a hands-on mentality and are characterized by your responsible, independent and structured way of working
- Previous knowledge in the field of additive manufacturing, laser technology and NC programming is desirable, but not a must
- Very good written and spoken German skills

Remuneration is based on the general works agreement on the employment of auxiliary staff.
The weekly working time is 14 hours.
The position is initially limited to 6 months, after which a longer term is also possible.
