Immunodiagnostics Division is a Division within Thermo Fisher Scientific, which develops, manufactures and markets complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy, asthma and autoimmune diseases. **How you will make an impact**:
Would you like to lead in a dynamic and international environment, with products that have a positive impact on the health of people worldwide? We are seeking a Finance Director who will provide finance and business partnering leadership to both the Research & Development and Marketing & Strategy teams for the Immunodiagnostic Division. This role will lead a finance and accounting team and will be the primary business partner for the VP R&D & VP Marketing & Strategy. As the Finance Director you will ensure strong financial controls, compliance, and timely and accurate financial reporting, consistent with USGAAP and local reporting requirements. In addition, the position holder will provide valuable decision support, identify and implement operational improvement opportunities and support and develop a strong finance team.
**What you will do**:
- Drive AOP / QBR / Strategic Plan (STRAP), in a matrixed financial forecast, ensure financial decisions support company STRAP / AOP and current market environment
- Communicate results to the broader organization and ensure alignment on key financial goals
- Develop and lead analytical methods for exploratory and explanatory business insights
- Lead financial modelling for key investment and STRAP objectives
- Accelerate decision making via development and utilizing of visualization tools
- Develop operational metrics / contingencies
- Recommend financial risk mgt. strategies / perform market impact analysis, articulate and demonstrate knowledge of key profit drivers for the business, understand drivers and market forces and impact on future business prospects
- Support divisional M&A & Business Development from a financial perspective
- Build and develop a successful team
**How you will get here**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business related field required; Professional Accountancy Qualification (ACA, ACCA, ACMA, CPA, CMA) and/or MBA strongly desired
- Excellent academic credentials and strong finance skill set
- Strong leadership skills and proven ability to adapt leadership style to different situations and people
- 10 years+ experience in a large global company and highly matrixed organization
- Healthcare Finance experience
- Proficient at understanding and proactively communicating the financial implications of business decisions and dynamics
- Strong internal controls and technical accounting experience. Must have an outstanding attention to detail and strong process rigor
- Strong analytical skills - and ability to use those skills to influence and drive change
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills are required to collaborate with various partners.
- Fluent English required and Swedish and/or German desirable.
- Able to deliver high quality effective presentation and understands and deploys best tools / methods to effectively communicate complex topics
- Self-motivated, higher level of flexibility and strong work ethic with the goal to get the job done
**Travel requirements**
- 25% domestic/international travel required
