**A Snapshot of Your Day**

Working as Head of Group Tax (f/m/d) for the Trench Group covers the full range of international tax advice, special tax projects as well as group internal reorganisations. Your day starts by checking the tax status of Trench Group entities and verify if there are any new requests or requirements from local tax authorites. In this role, you will ensure the group internal tax planning and strategy in collaboration with the Group CFO, coordinate global tax compliance together with external tax advisors and comply with the guidelines and policies of the various Trench factories to identify any need for action. In the afternoon, you participate in integration meetings elaborating new structures, and the tax set-up for Trench Group after the recent separation from Siemens Energy. In doing so, you are working with experienced colleagues from other departments such Finance & Accounting and Legal. In any case, every day is different, brings new opportunities and challenging questions, but there is always time for exchange within our international Trench team.

**How You’ll Make an Impact**
- Lead the tax planning and compliance considering the future strategy of the business, group policy and local regulations.
- Monitoring, management and forecasting the Trench Group’s overall effective tax rate to ensure efficient structuring of group operations, including identifying and recommending opportunities for improvement.
- Provide oversight and inhouse tax advice on all kind of taxes (like CIT, WHT, VAT, Deferred Taxes) to the worldwide Trench Group and drive internal tax projects (e.g., transfer pricing set-up)
- Working closely with external advisors to deliver M&A tax advice including deal execution, implementation, and post-Closing integration of the recent separation by Siemens Energy
- Working together with external tax advisers to ensure that Trench Group’s global tax compliance filing and payment deadlines are met and providing ad-hoc tax advice on commercially led projects in respect of contractual and trading activities of the Trench Group
- Support the HR department with tax technical advice on employment tax and social security topics including working with HR and Operational staff on the corporate tax implications of cross border employee transfers or new hires
- Engaging and working with a broad range of business stakeholders including external authorities (regulatory, audit, tax), our advisers, regional finance teams, the Trench Group finance team, Business Units, other corporate functions (Legal, HR, Operations)
- Oversee tax transactional activities in the central ERP system to ensure appropriate, compliant and efficient processing of tax transactions

**What You Bring**
- Degree level or equivalent in business administration, economics or similar with a focus on tax, are qualified as a German tax advisor (Steuerberater/in) or hold a similar international degree.
- Several years of working experience in the area of corporate finance in a multinational group or in a consulting firm with a strong focus on taxes and/or accounting
- Very good knowledge in the area of international tax (double taxation agreements, OECD guidelines, reorganization tax law, CFC matters, etc.) and experience in corporate reorganizations and M&A transactions
- German corporate income tax experience together with knowledge of tax reporting under German GAAP and IFRS as well as principal international tax experience
- Extensive working knowledge of German and international tax laws and regulations alongside experience of working with tax advisers to oversee other territories compliance requirements
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship skills, with experience of working with Senior and Executive Management, strong focus on quality, very good analytical skills and capability of simplifying and communicating complex topics
- Experience of working with ERP systems preferably SAP with a working knowledge of Making Tax Digital
- Experience in working within international teams and developed cross-cultural sensitivity
- Fluent in German and English
