**Machine Learning Research Scientists - Computational Biology (M/F/d)**

**YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Be an active member of a highly interdisciplinary and cross-organizational team
- Process, integrate and interrogate public and internal high-dimensional data arising from genomics, transcriptomics (bulk, single-cell, spatial), proteomics, morphological profiling and others
- Stay current with the fast-paced innovation in machine learning applied to biomedical data
- Join forces with other machine learning teams to bring together focused expertise into integrative projects involving different modalities like small molecules, biomolecules, or medical images
- Deploy efficiently machine learning models to the cloud and the desktop and help productionizing the developed solutions into our discovery pipelines
- Collaborate closely with data scientists, bioinformaticians, biologists, and chemists in order to choose the most appropriate solutions for each problem
- Propose and develop new ideas, conceive and execute sound experiments, critically interpret the results, and effectively present them in various committees
- Strengthen our external visibility and scientific excellence through publishing, open sourcing code, and engaging with the scientific community

**WHO YOU ARE**
- PhD degree (or M.Sc with several years of working experience) in computer sciences, computational biology, bioinformatics, physics or related fields
- Profound experience with state-of-the-art machine learning methods, deep learning, and model selection concepts
- Excellent programming skills in Python are essential; experience using a Linux high performance computing environment and building efficient and reusable software
- Expertise in at least one of the following: genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, cellular imaging, single-cell, spatial, or multi-omics data
- Publication record and/or contribution to software tools
- Highly creative person with outstanding problem-solving ability and the willingness to undertake challenging analysis tasks
- Fluent English language skills both in written and spoken
