**Skill requirements**:

- Solid understanding of database design principals
- Minimum 5 year experience with PostgreSQL 8.3, 8.4, 9.0
- Good understanding of query execution plans
- Good SQL scripts skill including SPs, PSQL scripting
- Good performance tuning skills
- Ability to proactively identify, troubleshoot and resolve live database systems issues.
- Knowledge of disaster recovery principles and practices, including planning, testing, backup/restore
- Experience in replication, is a plus
- Hands-on experience on database administration, backup recovery and troubleshooting in co-location environments
- Expertise in Oracle Backup & Recovery.
- Experience in Database Cloning or Refresh.
- Analyze requirements from developers and architects for data loads/migrations, and build PL/SQL procedures to satisfy requests
- Mentor team members on DBA tasks and new technologies
- Process knowledge on Incident Management & Change management
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Be flexible and willing to work in shifts.
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-sensitive environment

**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 4 months
