**YOUR MISSION**: As an Engineering Lead at the Deutsche Postcode Lotterie, you are part of a team with Lead Developers and our Head of Tech. In your role you will mainly focus on technology and people. The role includes:
- Create a culture of innovation and learning using Agile methodologies
- Inspire employees to encourage maximum performance, dedication, and enjoyment of their jobs
- Collaborate with our (Deputy) Head of Tech on the strategic roadmap for the local German Tech Department
- Work on the strategic roadmap with our international Heads of IT, to work towards our international goals
- Staff responsibility for a group of developers / QA
- Budgetary responsibility
- Recruitment of employees to the product teams
- Arrange hackathons and lab days
- Participate in various forums such as architecture, design and executive forum
**YOUR PROFILE**:
- Java, Springboot, Kotlin, Microservices, PostgreSQL
- AWS, Terraform
- React, Next.JS, Typescript, PHP
- Server side JavaScript (AWS Lambda)
You have experience and interest in building and leading development teams in an agile environment and have worked as a developer before. You understand that a team of happy, motivated and committed members creates wonders. You are driven by improving, developing and streamlining the work with a problem-solving and result-focused approach.
