Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Head of EMC Laboratory located in DE Stuttgart (DCST) Operation.

Reporting to the Director Engineering, the Head of EMC Laboratory is responsible for directing, planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of processes and procedures for the EMC test center. Responsible for managing and overseeing the methods, processes, and operations for both new and existing products. With special focus to the EMC laboratory ISO TS17025 accreditation.

Ensures the effective use of materials, equipment, and resources, and functional directive in the delivery of cost-effective, high quality EMC services including customer dedicated solutions.

What a typical day looks like:

- Leading and performing the wide range of EMC Automotive measurements for all Automotive R&D activities for the European OEM market.
- Participate in the review of customer requirements and engineering designs by outlining EMC dedicated requirements and considerations.
- Supports design in EMC layout and circuit optimization and measure, analyze, prepare and present EMC data and results.
- Participates with other senior managers in establishing corporate strategic plans and objectives for the EMC area.
- Directs the activities of the EMC test center and staff and is responsible for planning and maintaining costs for his broad functional area.
- Interacts regularly with executives, customers, and outside regulatory agencies. Is responsible for the EMC Laboratory ISO TS17025 accreditation.
- Drives engineering strategies to deliver customer requirements and recommend Flex capabilities in design and engineering services.
- Provides technical supplier management as related to EMC services and product development.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

- Finished degree in RF electrical engineering or a related field of equivalent experience and training.
- Demonstrated experience in engineering experience, including supervision.
- Experience into RF & HF electrical engineering & design experience.
- High voltage EMC test know how a would be plus.
- Excellent knowledge of all Automotive EMC testing hard and software tools and systems.
- Demonstrated experience into advanced functional, technical and people and/or process management skills, especially to ISO TS17025, as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
- Strong communication skills in English to lead advance level technical discussions with international teams and stakeholders. German is a must.
