We are lookingfor a Head of Software (m/f/d) to joinour headquarter inStuttgart.

  • Department Leadership: Inspire andlead a high performing team of Software, Firmware, and TestEngineers (5 FTEs, across 2 continents)
  • Technical Leadership Software: Leadthe Software Development section, make architectural decisions,perform code reviews, and ensure robust solutions
  • Quality &Processes: Own the process landscape. Take activesteps to ensure a modern development workflow by establishing bestpractices to ship software that is high quality and delivered ontime
  • Innovation andResearch: Drive innovation, stay updated on industrytrends, and represent the software department in managementmeetings. Promote a culture of excellence and collaboration
  • Collaboration: Apply cross-functional understanding and work with other departmentheads to ensure smooth deployment of new software to seriesproduction. Manage stakeholders across several continents (EU, US,APAC).
  • CareerDevelopment: Coach and mentor department members andencourage continuous learning
  • Bachelor's orMaster's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of software development experience,preferably in a hardware context
  • Strongsoftware architecture and design knowledge
  • Proficiency in at least 3 out of these technologies: C#, Qt , C++,WPF, Typescript, Python, YAML-based CI/CD, Yocto, Raspberry Pi
  • Excellent communication skills in English,German is a plus
  • Cross-functionalproblem-solving skills
  • Experience in lifesciences or laboratory automation is advantageous
