**The Opportunity**
This position works out of our Wiesbaden location in the Abbott Diabetes Care - Abbott GmbH. We’re focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.
**Your Tasks**:
- Management, ownership and relationship building to social health insurances (SHIs) as well as the monitoring and anticipation of relevant regional reimbursement developments with the goal to maintain and expand reimbursement
- Cooperation with payers to drive product adoption on a national level as well as on a per payer level
- Negotiate reimbursement contracts with payers in alignment with business targets and legal, regulatory, operational disciplines
- Building intimate knowledge of the regional stakeholders’ priorities, processes, business needs, drivers and barriers to ADC product utilization
- Translate and execute Market Access commercial plan on a regional level
- Position owns the responsibility to achieve broad payer awareness and adoption of new ADC products
- Operational implementation of regional payer projects with commercial focus
- Leading the team of dedicated Regional Market Access Managers. Ensure efficient and effective territory management and definition of KPl's
- Create and implement business reporting in alignment with financial and commercial business planning and reporting
- Contribute actively to ADC's Market Access commercial plan by providing relevant regional input and execution of regional lighthouse projects
**Your Qualification**:
- Post graduate diploma or University degree and/or adequate degree and on-the-job business exposure
- Medical Degree, Master's Degree in Nature Science, Public Health, Health Economics or Health Policy
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in medical device/ pharma industry
- Exposure to sickness funds, ideally in the context of remedies and in bringing new products into reimbursement
- At least 3 years of leadership experience
- Ability to analyse information, assess opportunity/ risk potential and develop appropriate strategic plans based on these insights
- Fundamental understanding of legal and regulatory requisites in GKV
