Supervisory Intelligence Specialist

**Duties**:
- Serves as the Deputy to the Director, Intelligence Directorate (J-2) and as the senior Army component civilian intelligence officer for Special Operations Command Africa (SOCAFRICA).
- Manages all phases of the intelligence cycle: planning and direction, collection, processing and exploitation, analysis and production, and dissemination, in support of the SOCAFRICA campaign plan.
- Conducts continuous evaluation and implements process improvement techniques ensuring the effectiveness and adequacy of multi-discipline intelligence operations.
- Provides direct oversight of all resource management processes and actions.

- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with access to sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel may be required 25% or less of the time.

- Prior Federal Service Employee- To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience equivalent to the GG/GS-[14] that prepared you to do this job. Specialize experience is defined and experience which includes experience in one or more intelligence disciplines such as Human Intelligence (HUMINT), Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT), Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT), Counterintelligence (CI) with responsibility that involve the oversight, target development, planning, direction, program management, evaluation, and coordination required to execute intelligence programs. This definition of specialize experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the Federal service.
- Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.

- If an employee brings a child to an overseas location and that child is entitled to attend a DoD school on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, the DoDEA and the Military Department responsible for providing related services will ensure that the child, if eligible for special education, receives a free appropriate public education, including related services pursuant to DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.
- If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler, but for the child's age, is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, then the Military Department responsible for Early Intervention Services (EIS) will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS in accordance with the eligibility criteria consistent with DoDI1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.
- Employees (and family members) who require medical or dental care in the overseas location will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care. Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a space-available and reimbursable basis only.
